* Add weapon_info::clone
Copies every member of a weapon class, following ship_info::clone, so a
weapon can be created from another as ship templates do. The
CLONE_UNIQUE_PTR macro moves from ship.cpp to utils/string_utils.h so
both clone functions share it.
* Group weapon_info::clone fields as the struct declares them

The hand-written ~350-line memberwise move existed only to manage the
one raw owning pointer, and silently left any member it didn't mention
uninitialized in the destination. With subsystems as a unique_ptr, the
defaulted moves and destructor are correct by composition. Copies
become explicitly deleted (use clone()). n_subsystems stays a plain
int because it is passed to varargs functions. The moves are not
declared noexcept because libstdc++ computes a potentially-throwing
implicit specification; NOLINT suppresses clang-tidy accordingly.

* avoid undefined behavior from UNREACHABLE on reachable code paths
UNREACHABLE expands to __assume(false) / __builtin_unreachable() in
release builds, which is undefined behavior if the code is ever actually
reached. Many UNREACHABLE sites only guard against unexpected-but-
possible runtime states (values from tables, mission/save files, network
packets, scripting, or user input), so reaching them should degrade
gracefully rather than invoke UB.
Replace UNREACHABLE with Assertion(false, ...) at all such sites. It
still pops an error in debug builds, but in release it is a harmless
no-op that simply falls through to the following code. Sites that are
genuinely unreachable by local invariants (e.g. a switch over a bounded
random number) are left as UNREACHABLE.
A few converted sites had no safe fall-through -- an uninitialized read,
null dereference, or null call would have followed -- so they also get a
minimal recovery: initialize the value, guard the dereference, return
early, or skip the offending item.
Where the converted site was a simple guard of the form
if (x) { Assertion(false, ...); return; }
hoist the check onto the invariant instead:
Assertion(!x, ...);
if (x) { return; }
This states the expectation directly and shows the offending value in
the debug popup, while keeping the same graceful runtime degradation.

* addendum
After consultation with Lafiel, use UNREACHABLE in situations that are effectively impossible even if not provably impossible. UNREACHABLE = "this shouldn't ever happen"; Assertion = "if this ever happens, it's a coding error". Also fix a few other sites and change a couple to Warnings.

A sweep for the w_bank pattern (raw owning handles in types that are
copied, moved, or shifted by value) found four more instances:
p_object: the destructor frees dock_list, which suppresses the implicit
move operations, so Parse_objects growth copied elements -- safe only
because dock lists happen to be built after parsing finishes. Wrap
dock_list in the new util::reset_on_move<> (a handle whose move resets
the source) and explicitly default the rule of five (with a user-defined
move assignment that frees any existing dock list before the memberwise
transfer), so moves now transfer the dock list.
DecalDefinition: the defaulted moves copied the bitmap handles without
resetting the source, so destroying a moved-from element would
bm_release live handles -- safe only because DecalDefinitions grows
before loadBitmaps runs. Wrap the handles in reset_on_move<int, -1>.
cmission: FRED's remove_mission overwrote the removed slot's five
vm_strdup'd strings without freeing them (a leak on every removal) and
left the vacated slot aliasing the surviving copy (a double-free if the
slot is later reused without reassigning every string). Factor the
string cleanup out of mission_campaign_clear into
mission_campaign_free_mission_strings and call it before the overwrite,
nulling the vacated slot afterward.
Undo_stack: the destructor deletes the tracked items, but the implicit
shallow copy was used to transfer stacks into the undo system, kept safe
only by an immediately-following untrack() call. Delete the copy
operations, default the move constructor and implement move assignment
as clear-then-exchange, so an assigned-over stack deletes its own items
first and the source is guaranteed empty.

If invalid UTF-8 is encountered, return the standard Unicode replacement character 0xFFFD. When incrementing or decrementing, make a best effort to follow the code's instructions. It might produce one or more characters, but that's better than an Error and a hard crash.
Also move character constants to standardized locations.
* rename misleading variable check_again to never_check_again
The first element of collision_result means "never check again" per the
typedef comment, but was destructured as check_again (opposite meaning).
Rename to never_check_again to match the actual semantics and prevent
future confusion.

* fix data races in ship-weapon collision threading
Two thread-safety bugs in ship_weapon_check_collision, which runs on
worker threads:
1. update_danger_weapon() wrote to Ai_info[] (danger_weapon_objnum,
danger_weapon_signature) without synchronization. Multiple weapons
targeting the same ship would race on the same Ai_info entry.
2. Homing missile detonation logic wrote wp->lifeleft and
wp->weapon_flags directly on the Weapons[] global array.
Fix: defer both writes to the main-thread post-processing phase via
new flags in ship_weapon_collision_data. Also convert the collision
data from a 6-element tuple to a named struct for readability.

* fix data race in ship-ship collision submodel checking
ship_ship_check_collision() toggled pmi->submodel[].collision_checked
flags on the heavy ship's polymodel_instance to selectively enable/
disable submodel collision checks. When two collision pairs shared the
same heavy ship, worker threads would race on the same pmi entries.
Fix: add a collision_checked_override pointer to mc_info that lets
callers provide a thread-local array of collision_checked values.
model_collide() uses the override when set, falling back to the
pmi->submodel[] field otherwise. ship_ship_check_collision() now
builds a local SCP_vector<char> and passes it via the override,
completely avoiding writes to shared polymodel_instance state.

* Ensure threads have spun down before continuing non-threaded execution
* address review feedback for ship-weapon collision threading
- postproc flag now accumulates incrementally instead of being OR'd
at the final return, ensuring all return paths respect it
- early return for predictive collisions now preserves the
should_update_danger_weapon flag in the collision data
- moved nprintf detonation debug print to the main-thread process
pass for thread safety

* move collision_checked from pmi into mc_info for thread safety
collision_checked flags were transient per-collision-pass state that
didn't belong in the shared polymodel_instance. Now mc_info owns an
SCP_vector<char> that model_collide auto-initializes from pmi when
empty. All collision callers (ship-ship, asteroid, debris, prop)
updated to manipulate mc.collision_checked instead of pmi->submodel[].

Change `currentlyLoopingSoundInfos` and `currentlyLooping3dSoundInfos` from lists to maps. The data structure should keep track of the volumes currently, as opposed to historically, associated with each sound handle.
Since the map requires `util::ID` and its derivatives to be hashable, add `util::ID_Hash`.
As discovered by WouterSmits, campaigns with periods in their filenames caused issues with FSO's campaign handling. Specifically, in The Babylon Project, the EA-Minbari war v1.0.fc2 campaign would not save progress because FSO expected EA-Minbari war v1.fc2 in certain places. This is because the `_splitpath()` function attempted to remove an extension from a filename that already had it removed. For most campaigns this did not matter, but WouterSmits found a campaign where it did.
To solve this, there is now a new `util::get_file_part()` function to remove the path without removing the extension. This replaces `_splitpath()` for campaign files, as well as the similar `clean_filename()` and `GetFilePart()` functions in other places. All code paths were inspected for any chance of inadvertent extension adding, and Assertions were added to verify future code. The only potential problem area was `player:loadCampaignSavefile()` which now pre-removes the campaign extension if needed.
