FRED2 can switch to its classic menus, where every editor dialog is in a single Editors menu. This adds the same option to QtFRED, as a Preferences checkbox on the Appearance tab. The classic Editors and Misc menus live in FredView.ui beside the grouped menus and reuse the same actions, so shortcuts and checked states are shared. Turning the option on hides the Objects, Environment, Mission, Narrative and Tools menus and shows the classic ones.

Building
Before you do anything, make sure you have updated your git submodules, either by running git submodule update --init --recursive or by cloning the repository with the --recursive flag.
